There was one gang rape happened in India a few days ago. And this event make a lot of people protest that they want to justice of the law to protect the safety of women in India while the police and the protested people have a big conflict which caused many people get hurt. And the oppsite of the party criticized that the New Deli already became the raping city in India because the rate of raping has grown up more than 17 percent. Last year (2011) there are 480 rape case and this year there are 580 cases happened in New Deli that means in average there is at least one raping case happen every day in New Deli.The government started to consider that to put the death penalty to those who had rapped others.
what I thought toward the news is that I think the problem is quite serious but the government in India seemed not as effective and efficient to deal with this kind of things and that's why there would have so many people to go on the street to protest. I feel sorry to those girls who are rapped by others.
And about the bias I think the news in Taiwan is that different channel may have different statement toward the different parties then the reporting way or the words and even the news statement they may choose the way they want to do the brain-washed to the audiences. For example: the channel for green party may choose the news which is good for them and vice versa. What's mroe , the news in Taiwan are all talking about the local news which is trivial and not important or the news all about the celebrities' gossips. I can't learn things from our news but only gossips.

This time is my first time to do the news recording, and I think it is pretty difficult to read your script loud and at the same time look at your audiences. What's more, to say the words correctly is difficult too, because I may feel nervous when I am recording and some of the words of the name are quite tricky to pronunce, for example: the Russia President Vladimir Putin. Though I think the news recording is not as easy as I think before, I still think this experience is quite fresh and fun for me. It makes me feel curious about what if a professional reporter do when he/she faces the same situation like if he/she meets the words he/she doesn't even know the meaning or the pronunciation of the word what he/she would do. This exprenciences arise my interests toward the news reporter. And there is one more thing which is difficult is that the reporter can't show their own affections or to express their opinions while do the reporting because the person who is doing the report should be fair without any bias during the recording.

One person was killed and 23 others injured yesterday after a tour bus
crashed into a highway barrier on the National Sun Yat Sen Freeway.
The accident occurred at the 68-kilometer mark near the Yang-mei Interchange
in Taoyuan County at 6AM.
The tour bus was carrying Daoist worshippers and members of a civilian
vigilance team from Nantou County.
Police say the bus driver was trying to avoid rear-ending a crane when he
crashed into the highway divider.
The accident is the third tour bus crash in two weeks.

The statement follows the victory yesterday of Japan's opposition Liberal

PSA feedback.
This time, at the beginning, when we were discussing the topic, we would like to do the PSA about homosexual, but in the end, we thought that is too difficult for us to talk about, we decided to change our topic into the growing population of old people who live alone in Taiwan. Moreover, we thought there are a lot of old people who live alone in the society, they need us to pay more attention and care toward them. When I went back to my grandparents' home, I saw the inconvinience of my grandparents that they can't take care of themselves well or to move by their own that make them have people to stay with them to take care of them, and I was wondering that if the old people who are not as fortunate as my grandparents who have family members beside them but live alone by themselves, what kind of life would that be? Also, I had seen many news which are about the young people who treat old people badly or impolitely, for instance, The grandson didn't get the money he wanted, he just kicked and hit his own grandparents or the old people who was sick and his son only gave him 100 dollar to go to see a doctor by his own... I think we not only need to stay with old people but also need to pay love,care and patience toward them. These are the origins of the idea.

When you were young....
The difficulties we had met.
1.Time management.
Our script which is too long can't fit the time in one minutes, and we chose the way to solve the problem is to narrate it quickly, however, in this way we ignore the most important part is that we can't make our audience hear it very clearly and we can't convey the feeling that we want to express ,because the tones were not very obvious to bring the resonance from the audiences.
2.Technical problem.
Because we don't know how to use movie maker, we chose to use the power director to instead. While we were using the power director, we can't make the special effect which we want to do. For instance, the beginning of the first scene, we prefer to use a lot of different old people's avatar which appear one by one and then the amount of the avatars may fill the whole screen that is the effect which similar to the TV commercial wall. We want to do this is because we hope to convey the message that the amount of old people is getting higher and higher in the future. However, we can't make it, then we chose another way to find a photo which shows many old people on it to fit our demand. And also our background music is louder than our recording voice. we don't know how to change it, because the power director seems only can change both of the volume together but not change it seperately. The way we tried to fix it was to record another version which is louder than the original one but the result still is not as good as we expect.
3.The material is difficult for us to get.
We would like to take the photos of old people by ourselves, but we were to busy to do it , then we chose to use the photos from the internet. And the photos which can express our message strongly are all from China.(I don't know why, I often see news talks about the similar events, but when you really need those statistics or the information, you always can't find the right one that you are looking for.)
And teacher told us one thing which is very important that we can't use the photos to say a story. For example: We use an old man's photo when he is eating an watermelon and we present that the man is poor he lives alone by himself, there is no one to take care of him.... etc. Instead, we should use the fact, the truth to present our PSA , this is an essential part of our PSA and we didn't notice that. I hope next time if there were similar projects I can make it better than this time. I learned a lot from this project.
4. Learn to cooperate with others
Every group memebers are all very busy in part time job or exams.... These things make us more difficult to arrage time to get together to have a discussion or divide our work well. And also during the time of making this project, we learn to have more empathy to think more for others to show our understanding. I am glad to work with my group members, because everyone in the group are all considrable for others. Though we didn't do it well this time, we can do it much better next time. Cheer up !!!

What the beauty is in Taiwanese's eyes.
Today, we are bombarded by lots of information which just brainwashed our thoughts toward beauty in the massmedia culture. We may see lots of ads or commercials are using beautiful women to portray the product and more likely to use girls who is with sweet smile, big breasts or long legs. What's more the massmedia is willing to use many skinny models to tell us what the beauty is and this kind of information just be put inside our brain in the daily life that make us be influenced by the thoughts and be controled little by little. And the most pathetic thing is that we don't know that we are trying to fit other's expectation toward beauty, just thought that to be like the people on the television or ads is beauty.
stereotype 1: A beautiful woman must have big eyes,long eyelash, white skin.
Stereotype 2: A nice figure woman should be thin and with big breasts or long legs.
Stereotype 3: Taiwanese girls like to do the self-photograph with almost the same gesture or pose.

There are lots of TV commecial talks about how to make up to become more beautiful, what is fashion, or the family, marriege stroy between those celebrities.... So what do Taiwanese girls learn from the massmedia?
to become more fair then we should listen to the recommendation from the TV commercial's cosmetic teachers.
to become more fashion we should buy the famous brands just like the celebrities shows us how cheap those luxuries are...
to know the gossip, the anecdote about the marriage of the celebrities to learn from them about how to control your husband..
This kind of TV commercials are filled in our daily life and that is how Taiwanese women do toward the massmedia.Actually, I feel very sorry about Taiwanese massmedia, because it seems that we only care about gossip,affairs, local political, not the important events happen in the international.

E-magazine
This time our midterm project was to make an e-magazine which is quite difficult for me. I met a lot of difficulties when I was doing this project which made me understand that editing an magazine was not as easy as we think and I felt happy about that I succeeded to make it, I am really proud of myself and my group members.
At first my group members Regina, and Monica we decided to use Papago as our magazine's name. Because the topic of our magazine is about traveling around Taiwan, however we found that Papago is also a brand of GPS then we gave up this idea. In the end our conclusion was use Taione Total as our magazine's name. The reason why we chose to change Taiwan as Taione was because that we thought Taiwan was unique for its beautiful scenery, friendly people, delicious snacks those are the stuffs which other countries can't replace,and also the articles inside our magazine are all about the recommed places for you to travel in Taiwan and most of the traveling schedule we recommeded are all set for one day trip ,these reasons are why we chose to use Taione. And about Total is the similar sound to chinese as traviling the whole country which makes us to use this word.
About my first article, I chose to write restrooms and Feng Jia night market as my first article. Though someone may think that is quite weird or gross to put restrooms and night market together, then it's the time for you to read my articles then you will find that how beautiful and fantastic the restrooms are, your stereotype view toward restroom will be broken that is my purpose to write this article. And about the Feng Jia night market which is quite famous in Taichung where there are a lot of tasty, unique, creative food that you can't see in other night markets. So I decided to write this article to recommend some food for others when they have chances to visit Taichung. And about photos for restrooms which were taken by me and my senior high classmates when I was in senior high school, I used the old material to make a new article and about the photos for Feng Jia night market that thanked to my junior high school classmate and my cousin who all study in Feng Jia university.I just asked them to help me to take the photos because I don't have the time to go back to Taichung before my project. I really want to say thanksssssssssssss to them!!!!
About my second article, I chose Qiaotuo to write about was because that I just went there to have a class trip with my classmates and teacher. Qiaotuo is a place that I think is quite worth for people to visit because there are beautiful scenery, historical buildings and also you can do many activities there that included BBQ with friends, paintball fighting and also the Go cart!!! These activities are so exciting that you will never feel bored in this place and this is why I want to recommend this place. Therefore, about the photos I use the photos I took during the class trip and also there were some of the photos were from the other time which I vistied Qiaotou cane history museum with my friends. About the layout I chose to use the riding bicycles photos to put on the bottom of the page to fit my articles content about riding bicycles in Qiaotou and to make it looked like they are keep riding in the article.
However, during the process of making this project i met a lot of difficulties which included that I didnt know how to use the Rome adobe and it took me a lot of time to explore this software and also that I didn't know how to save the file as a project which made me lose my file for many times and in the end I develped one way that was if I didn't want to lose my file then just finished it at once, that was pretty difficult for me becasue I needed to arrage my time well. What's more, my article which I already saved in the word file that couldn't been paste to the adobe ant that made me type everywords again and again( cause lost file again !!LOL) Therefore, after I finished my project, I met a new puzzle which was that I didn't know how to combine my PDF file or to split it... and thanked to the sharing of others on the internet, I finally got my way to solve the problems. What I want to say is that through this project, my computer skill change from beginner or poor level into a better level. Thanks to the task which seems that I couldnt make it, but fortunately I did... YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hooooooooooorrrrrrrrrahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

If we trace back to the year of the 1950 to 1960, we could see that the sugar industry was very prosperous during that time in Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The sugar industry not only reminds the memory for old Southern people about eating popsicles when they were on the way back to home after school but also represents the special cultural background in Kaohsiung. However, the industrial structure in Taiwan has changed recently that forces the old sugar industry to make some changes to save the industry of the sugar.
Now the sugar factory in Qiaotou in Kaohsiung was not the old factory we used to see, instead it developed a new way for people to know more about the sugar industry. The CEO of the sugar industry in Kaohsiung decided to found the museum in Qiaotou to let more people to come to this place during the holidays to experience the culture and the process of making sugars.Taiwan sugar museum is an educational and historical place for parents or schools to take their own children here to know more about sugars and during the trip of visiting the sugar factory that could help the parents and children improve the relationship between them, to make the tie between them much closer and tighter, also to have more common topics for them to chat or discuss. This is a suitable place for all ages. Old people can come to this place to recall their memory; while young people can come here to gain more knowledge about the history of Taiwan also can have a picnic to relax with friends.
If you think that this museum only has places for you to visit then you are wrong. It also has the train which was used for transporting sugar before and now you can pay a little fee for 80 dollars to take you to travel around the Qiaotou factory to bring you to visit the Abrin tree square which can bless your love, the Buddha statue set when the Japanese ruled Taiwan, and also the cane land and so on…… What’s more, if you want to do some exercise to ride a bicycle with your friends to explore this place by yourself, then there are bicycles that can be connected with the other bicycles, which is quite fun when you see a lot of bicycles stick together, you may start to worry about if they will get knot together or not.
Taiwan sugar museum is a wonderful place which waits for you to explore its historical story, beautiful scenery and the tasty popsicles with special flavors. And if you want something excited in Qiaotou then there is one more fantastic place that is in a short distance from Taiwan sugar museum for a few steps of walk then you can arrive in the Kaohsiung flowers farm in Qiatou. What you can do here is to have an exciting paintball fighting, a car racing or another feast of BBQ with your friends.
Paintball fighting
If you want to have a paintball fighting here, the thing you only need to do is to make a reservation with the coach in the farm then just come to the place the coach will teach you how to do it. At first, the coach may explain the safety rule about the paintball gun and the rule of the paintball game then it’s time for you to put on the special costumes for the paintball fight. In the end, the most exciting part is coming, try to shoot your enemies and avoid being shooting by others. When the fight is over, the coach will check which team or which person get more shoot from others, the less paint you get, the crown of winner gets closer to you.
Go Cart
If the paintball fighting still can’t fulfill your joyful mood then you can go to the car racing field to pursue some kind of speed feeling. You can challenge yourself to speed up the car to a very high speed to race with your friends and if you had lost the game during the paintball fighting then it’s the perfect time for you to take back the championship.
After almost whole day activities you must feel hungry then you can just go to the flower center in the farm in Qiaotuo to book one set of food to have BBQ with friends. Then it’s another fight for food. Therefore, after experience every activities here in Qiaotuo you will have an unforgettable and wonderful trip and you may wish to come back to this place again and again.

Taichung is the typical modern city in Taiwan, the transportation is quite convenient, and the weather is comfortable for people to live in. And today there are two places in Taichung when you visit this wonderful city you must take a look in these two places—the restrooms in Chung-Yo department store and the famous Feng Chia night market.
What kind of impression do you think toward a restroom? Stinky? Dirty? Disgusted? Well, do you know that there are restrooms which win the prizes in Taichung? After you have visited the restroom in Chung-Yo department store in Taichung, your stereotype may be totally broken and you may feel like you were in a palace or in a high class restaurant. The special part of the Golden Squid is that the store created the idea of using squid to wrap the rice inside and put the whole squid into oil to fry it and then you may have different choices of sauces top with the squid that includes Thai’s sauce (which gives you a taste of spicy and sour flavor), Japanese style sauce (which use sesame to grind to let you taste the odor of the sesame), Honey mustard sauce, and the Italian Basil sauce. And if the squid doesn’t raise your interest of food, or it doesn’t fulfill your picky tongue, don’t worry there are still a lot of different foods that apply you to fulfill your taste bud. The fried banana which includes its pear that is quite amazing. Have you ever thought that the pear of banana can be eaten? Or the Porkey Box fulfill your demand toward the thick pork…..

"Have you eaten yet?" Grandpa asked in Taiwanese.
" Oh, I had already eaten it." replied by me in Taiwanese with weird Chinese accent.
"Someone gave it to me, it's delicious, try it." Grandpa said.
"Ok, What's this?" I tried hard to find the topic to talk with grandpa.
The relationship between us is not as close as when I was young, but I still can feel the care from him. However, recently, my grandpa's health condition gets worse and worse. Util a few weeks ago, I went back to visit him, he can't walk by himself and eats less and less. His talking became a kind of murmuring which is difficult for us to understand. What's more, I couldn't feel the energy and the soul from his eyes, only left hollow eye contact...... And he even can't call my name, he mistook me as my cousin.
I know this day will come, but I don't know it comes so fast. I can feel clearly that his life energy is fading away with the times. I feel sorry that I can't do something to help with this condition. I Know the old days won't come back, what I can do is to accept the fact that he is leaving away from us little by little. I only can make a wish to the God to let my grandpa have more time to stay with us and when the time comes for him to go, I wish he could go to a beautiful place with a lot of joy and happiness without any pain.

She felt a bit of a rose-tinted view of the life of a gay person , then when she saw the photo she found it very inspiring as it’s not often that she sees such classy graffiti – something that really makes her think.She forgot that there are some people who aren’t as accepting. She hopes that there would have more people to change their attitude toward the homosexual people intead despising or doing something mean to them.

Share the experience of creating the newspaper with my group members.
We have read news from different media but have you ever published the newspaper by yourself before? Last week, when I was in massmedia class the teacher gave us an assignment that she asked us to edit the newspaper by ourself. It was a very special experience for me because before I started to create it, I didn't know that we needed to think about so many things which included the logo, the photos, the articles, the layout also the most important one is the copyright. We needed to design the logos by ourselves. After I had discussed with my group member, we decided to use the name " Wenzao Peeper" which came from a story,Peeiping Tom. Actually this is not a positive word, but after our discussion we thought that was quite interesting to use this word just like paparazzi like to peep others. We want to know the news about the activities or the stories happened in Wenzao. That's why we chose the name.

And about the difficulties we met is that we didn't know how to use the Rome which teacher recommeded to us then we just chose to use the Peport to do it. Peport is a website that you just only need to sign up to become a member you can start to edit your own newspaper and publish it out. This website also applied many beautiful style of the newspaper or you can use other's sample. Well, for me, this one was more easy for me to use. But when dealing with the layout, I still met some difficulties like the size I was going to use couldn't match my imagine. So I spent much time on figuring out how to organize the articles and the photos also the function of the website for example: I was trying to find out the how to upload the photos, or how to change to size of the decoration and so on...
Finally, we finished our first newspaper and then gave out a presentation to other classmates during the class, we found out that we still have a lot of space could be improved better. I hope that we can do much better next time. By the way, I am going to learn how to use the Rome recently... cause we are going to make the e-magazine for the midterm. And I like the layout of the Rome, it is so beautiful and stylish. I hope I can publish a beautiful magazine which can attract people to read it. Look forward to it !!! To learn a new skill of publishing stuffs.
